Name: Adachi Tohru

Gender: Male
Age and year/Age and job: 27; detective in the real world
Appearance: Adachi has black hair, and soft silver-blue eyes. He dresses nicely, in suits, no matter what he’s doing.
Personality: Adachi is a normally very goofy, not-very-serious person. He is used as comic relief in canon. He can be very innocent and sweet, hiding a darker side under a goofy attitude and smile that reveals so much FAIL he could never be threatening.
However, Adachi DOES have a very dark side. His personalities borders schizophrenia, though he claims that ‘Shadow’ is just his very close imaginary friend. His bad side, Shadow, is one of the WORST, and can hit at almost any time. Most likely, however, it is when he is alone with someone.
Canon history: Adachi is the assistant detective in Persona 4. He is a complete FAIL, who pukes at the sight of dead bodies and reveals secret police information to minors. Through the entire game, he is simply the innocent friend of the main character’s Uncle. Trying not to reveal too much plot wise, but let’s just say that changes. HIGHLY. AU history: Adachi had a rough childhood. His father was always off at work, and his mother was never around. Basically, it meant a lot of afternoons that Adachi was alone, by himself. It was during this time that he developed ‘Shadow’, his imaginary friend. Shadow wasn’t afraid to yell. Shadow wasn’t afraid to hurt. Shadow wasn’t afraid to set whole apartments on fire to protect his friend. Because of ‘Shadow’ Adachi ended up living the last few of his teenage years in an orphanage, because of a mysterious fire at his apartment that had killed his father but left him untouched. Eventually, Adachi accepted Shadow as a split personality of his own, though that’s what the ‘friend’ was all along. Once he left the orphanage, he decided that he wanted to be a cop. More specifically, a detective. Shadow had some interesting ideas for dealing with criminals, and Adachi was happy to follow them. Adachi worked hard to get to be an assistant detective. But he only managed assistant currently.
Adachi's only hope is to someday rid the world of the other trash like himself. The people that don't deserve to live.
Other: Adachi has very strict rules on what Shadow is allowed to do. Of course, once he actually DOES give into Shadow, all the rules and hindrances of morality disappear. So Shadow has no bars on anything.
