~Character Info~
Name: Anji Mito
Series: Guilty Gear
Gender: Male
Age and year/Age and job: 20, "entertainer" (he's more of a wanderer than anything else, but dances for spending money)
Appearance: Anji has spiky brown hair held mostly in place by a white headband. He has small glasses that rest on the bridge of his nose, and he wears a pair of baggy blue pants. (Hakama, I think they're called.) He's usually carrying a blue umbrella and a pair of folding fans for his performances. He's rarely seen wearing a shirt, so he usually is showcasing hisrock-hard abdominal muscles.
Personality: Anji is a generally upbeat character. He enjoys life and never holds regrets for his decisions. He's a bit of a social butterfly, and he has a way of charming total strangers. Around people he knows, he doesn't change at all. He remains a kind, likeable person.
Anji also has a major curious streak. He wants to know the "why" behind everything. He's also incredibly sensitive about his traditional dances, as well as his looks. Should you insult either of the two, he flies into an oddly polite fury.
Canon history: Anji is one of the last remaining Japanese people in existence. In his world, the Japanese are viewed as endangered, so they're put into UN-controlled colonies. At some point, Anji broke out of his and stole/acquired a pair of magic folding fans known as Zessen. His reason for escape was, to put it simply, sheer curiosity. He currently works for That Man, though he isn't really evil himself.
~AU Info~
AU history: Anji was born into a rather rich Japanese family. He was taught the traditional dances of his home country at a very early age, instilling in him a deep love of any and all forms of dance and music. At around the age of 12, he met a girl by the name of Baiken. Unlike everyone else his age, who sucked up to him, she literally punched the crap out of him with her good arm. It was love at first sight (for him, anyways.) He spent all of his high school years essentially trying to win her over, but failing miserably (like, we’re talking incredibly horribly. Like, nuiclear-bomb bad.)
Once they graduated, she left town to track down someone she simply referred to as “That Man.” Anji, more than a bit heartbroken, took comfort in his dances. He was “discovered” by an agent, and soon enough he was traveling the world, showcasing his skills. He still searched for Baiken, in his free time, though he never could find her.
Other: Anji's biggest dream is to make it to the big stage and show the world his heritage via dance.and impress Baiken

Step, slide, shuffle, twirl. Anji went through the traditional rhythms of another dance, his fans swinging through the air with ease. Spin, shuffle, spin, twirl. Sidestep, backstep, leap. His eyes were shut in concentration, nothing else existing but him and the music. Leap, twirl, sidestep, shuffle. Slip. Suddenly, Anji found his face becoming incredibly acquainted with the deck. “…Pain.” That was all he muttered as he picked himself up from the deck. He walked over and shut off his music player and checked his bowl to see if he had any more donations to his cause. “Lessee… three bucks, 50 cents, and five phone numbers.” He shrugged as he pocketed the money and threw the slips of paper with the phone numbers overboard. “Not bad for barely trying.”
