Alan rolled his eyes at Mark. Didn't the boy know the purpose of an investigation. He looked at the Queen. He didn't really believe their story, but could Tarik be trusted any more than the Queen? Both had been hospitable, and seemingly nice. Tarik just didn't give off the same creepy vibe. "I'm sure that's what it was."

Mark gulped and stopped eating, feeling uncomfortable again. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." To Aban, he quickly muttered a reply. "I want to too, but I don't know how to find my way back to the town in that snowstorm. Plus, it's freezing! And we won't have Bartre's speed to help us get out of it."

Aban looked down at the table, trying to think. He didn't like it here and wanted to leave right then and there. He quietly sighed. "I see your point. But my honest feelings...I'd rather deal with the cold than be in here." his voice was soft as he spoke so that only Mark was able to hear him. He was starting to feel like that helpless child again, waiting for father to show up and just get the night over with.

Betra sighed, finally calming herself down. "That's alright dear. But, at least she's alive. And it sounds like she's as smart as ever!" She grinned with pride.
After the meal was over, Betra rose, and looked at a guard. "Release Bartre, so that these sweet boys can get home safely." She smiled at the group. "Please do come back again, it has been lovely having you!" She began to make her way towards the castle doors, knowing the boys would soon follow.

Mark followed, quickening his pace to catch up with Alan. "Hey, Mr. Wake, where exactly are we supposed to go? We don't have a home here." He frowned; that was kind of a depressing thought, actually.

Aban followed, stuffing both his hands in his jacket pocket. He looked over his shoulder into the dining room then looked back forward. He was still feeling uneasy about the castle. The sooner he could get out, the better.

Alan sighed. "I don't know Mark. I'm sure we'll find something. Anything you could help us with Queen?" He asked, looking at her.

"Ah, yes yes!!" She clapped her hands together. "There's a lovely hotel we have on the island. In the portion of town within Aidenn, there's a rather large white building that you simply cannot miss. It's a hotel, the finest we have! Go there and tell them that the queen sent you. I'll call them after you leave." She giggled to herself and opened the doors. "Bartre will be awaiting you at the gates. He should know how to get you back to town!"

Alan nodded. "Thank you." He gestured to the door. "Come on Aban, Mark. Let's take Bartre and go, alright?"

Mark followed after Alan. "Thanks," he said to the Queen. Then he paused and looked behind them, then back up at Alan. "What about the funny man? Is he coming with us too?"

Aban followed behind Mark and Alan. He was relieved that they were finally leaving and heading somewhere better. Although he wasn't too sure on the hotel situation, he figured he could deal with that later. He looked back at the other guy then back forward. He had seen the man around the ship here and there, but didn't really strike up a conversation with him.

Anji stood and walked over to where the other three were. A hotel sounded nice, and he wanted to get away from this eerie woman. "Oi, mister." Anji greeted the older of the three. "Do you mind if I join you? I meant to earlier, but..." He gestured to his folding fan and grinned sheepishly.

Alan shrugged. Why not add another semi-useless guy to his group. Had there BEEN any women on that ship? "Yeah, sure, you can come with us."

"Bye-bye now! Enjoy!" Betra waved at them as they exited the castle, giggling and happy as a clam. However, once the doors closed, Betra faced her guards, a sinister smile on her face. "Well, now." She clapped, and began to fall. A guard caught her, before another came, and both of them carried her to her throne. Once upon it, she snickered. "Stupid children. Follow them." She waved a few guards away, and they quickly hurried to follow the boys into town. Once there, they would bring back news of Tarik's living place.
Betra smiled and laughed to herself. "We've found her. Now I can make sure the crown will be kept where it belongs."
